Hey everyone,
Been hitting the salt the last few weeks. I have been catching all blues. TONS OF BLUES AROUND. I can't begin to explain just how many. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. AND LARGE! Schoolies mixed in but there are some big ass fish around. Stripers are being caught but still infrequent. Should kick in pretty soon. I managed to catch two nice blues on the flats the other night. I had busting fish at my feet. I caught one in about a foot or so of water and was about 10 feet away not even. Catching a blue on a flat is like hooking a bonefish. The runs are awesome. Of course, blues will tail walk as well. See the pic in the gallery. It's the one with my rod under the fish. Anway, albies are around and I am on a mission to get one this year. I need to hit the areas where they come in to from shore and from yak. Hit the Weekapaug breechway the other night. Tide was not right and albie time is best at first light so I am told from friends who have caught a ton of them. You can catch them as the day goes on it just becomes harder. With all the bait around, TONS OF IT, the Fall should be AWESOME. Tight ones
