    Redesigned LL Beans 2011 Streamlight Ultra Two-Piece Fly Rod

    I recently purchased the redesigned Streamlight 5'9" 3wt. It felt remarkably balanced so I grabbed it. Just waiting for ice out to try it out! I would be curious to know if anyone perhaps in warmer climates may already be using it. I would like to know how it performs especially on ponds and in streams.

    For those prices, I just picked up Sage TXL blanks for $150 (new rod about $600). Madison River had them on clearance, I think they have 00, 2 and 3 wt. blanks available. I do know some people that actually fish the 000 wt. I'm going to build it up in the next week or two just in time for some small stream fishing.

    A friend of mine recently bought one. He uses on small streams . He's had no complaints about it.
