Gary Borger's "Fishing the Film"

I received a copy of Gary Borger's book which is the first in a 20 book series. It is going to be a must read. Loaded with Garys insight and experience. What a wonderful writer he is. It's interesting to note that Gary recognizes his friend Dr Henry Kanamoto (TPO's very own "Silvercreek" ) in the acknowledgement section as providing useful comments that helped guide the final text to completion. We are fortunate to have Silver's insight here and I want to aknowledge that. Check out the book guys. I think Silver said it has everything that's in "Presentation" but much more in depth. I look forward to acquiring all of the 20 book set for my fly fishing library.

Thanks Magnet for your kind words. Gary taught me to fly fish back in the 1970s and we've been friends for many years.

Gary's next book will be "Reading Waters", which I have proof read. Jason is probably working on the artwork and final edit before it goes to the publisher. Following that will be "Long Flies" which is about streamers.

Each of Gary's books will stand on it's own. For example, "Fishing the Film" has a section on casting and mending; the how, when, and where to make casts and mends for dead drifts. But there will also be two books on casting alone for those that want something more in detail.
