Penns

[Toad Hunter]

Penns fished good today. Fish were taking a little bit of everything. Started off the day with a 17" brown on the 3rd cast and that's pretty much what it was like all day. Landed 7 fish over 18" and a bunch of smaller guys. Managed to take two pictures of a 19" and 20" brown before my phone battery died.




Depending on the rain, I may hit it again tomorrow.

Very nice fish Mike! How were the hatches? I heard its been "pretty" good. What type of nymph was best?

Wow. What a day! I've fished that stream a number of times but never had a day like that. I am totally jealous! Congrats and thanks for showing the pictures.

May I ask what section were you on?

Nice pics. I was there Wed and it fished pretty well. My largest fish was only in the 16 inch range. Pretty sunny for the better fish that day.

Great pics. Penn's sure is nice. I will have to plan a trip there next month. Meanwhile I have to settle with the Farmington locally. Keep the pics coming...

Fished in the C&R area. That stretch seems to have the better portion of big fish on Penn's.
