Anyone Use Airflo?

I've always used Rio/SA lines and have been happy with those for the most part, but recently I decided to stray and bought the Airflo Ridge Supple Tactical line (that's a mouthful!). I really like this line so far... it seems Airflo has stepped up to the plate and is giving Rio and SA a run for their money. I think I'm going to get another one in a double taper (I've come to the conclusion that DT lines have the edge over WF for trout/river fishing). Anyone else have any experience with em?

I am on my 2nd year with Airflo lines. I really like them. I was a big Orvis Generation fly line guy as well as Sci Angler but the owner of a shop I go to told me about them and said I should give it a try. The line really shoots and it is very fun to roll cast with. I want to get a double taper and try it just to see the difference from the weight forward. Like you said Sci Angler has some competition. The only bad thing in my opinion about the line is it loses its slickness faster than Sci Angler. I catch cleaning my Airflo a lot more than Sci Angler. Overall though in my opinion it is a great line and well worth the money. I haven't experimented with rio fly line at all though.

My buddy and I received a few ridge lines from the Rep in Pa a few years ago. Tried them out in Erie for steelhead and they both sank. I don't plan on using them again, but it sounds like they may have gotten their act together.

Mike, apparently their floaters used to suck pretty bad... i guess they went through some trial and error and finally put together all the pieces to create one hell of a cool line. I especially like the low stretch aspect of the core...seems like it makes handling/casting it a bit snappier, plus it aids in sensitivity (especially helpful for wets). As for the sinking, haven't really noticed any yet. Also, don't all floating line tips tend to sink after a while?... nothing a little mucilin won't fix, right?
