    LL Bean Rapid River Waders

These are the waders I've been using since February. They are breathable and very tough. The bottoms are five layer and the top is four. The fit is very comfortable and they can go through the thickest brush with no problem. However I've now gone through three pairs and the crotch seam devolps a leak after a few months on all of them. LL Bean's customer service is top notch and each time they sent me a new pair of waders in a few days at no cost to me and the last pair I sent back I asked for a refund and they refunded my money completly with no problem. So I recommend LL Bean since if your not happy with their product they'll refund you completly but stay away from these waders since they all have the same problem.

On a side note I got a pair of their flyweight waders as a back up and have had a lot less problems. They are not real tough since they are thin but what do you want for $59. I've used them a bunch of times and with the exception of some small holes from thorns they are fine, I use a little Aquaseal and they are good to go again. I wouldn't recommend them as a primary pair of waders but they are good back ups.

You'd be hard pressed to find better customer service or a better warranty than LL Bean.

How long does the warranty last? As long as you feel it should.

I know its crazy how they stay in buisness. You could actually have a lifetime warranty on waders! Thats why I only complain when its something like seams leaking. If I can fix it with Aquaseal I will.

I also have their Riverkeeper wading boots and wore them at least once a week for seven months strait and the sole started to peel away from the boot. I wanted to see if I could get them fixed and they gave me a brand new pair of boots. Who does that?

I took my wading shoes to the Bean store in Saucon Valley PA because they were starting to tear. They are a little over a year old and they took them back no questions asked. I even got a larger size because the toe in my waders wore out. I originally purchased them in my regular shoe size, I have since been advised here to go a size higher. Bean had no problem exchaging them for a larger size. I was so tickled that I bought a new pair of waders there, the Emerger breathables for 99 dollars. Thanks for the recomendation on the waders Nick and Chris, I like them.

I can't wait to use them. I am just waiting for my wading shoes to arrive. They did not have a size 13 in stock so I had to order them. They should be here by the weekend. Because they did not have them in stock the shipping cost was negated. I am also receiving a 10 dollar coupon from them. You really got to love their customer service!

    Alain...

    Walsh is going $hithouse!

I ordered a pair of Hardy waders and boots. I spent the entire day today shivering in my Simms. So at 4 I made the call! Had to get some new waders and boots! I will report back on my thoughts of the Hardy product. They should be comparable with all of the other waders. They look extremely similar to the Patagonia waders.
