Fished a TMA in CT today, not one of the major ones. Water level was good, but due to last night's rain, it was slightly murky, but definitely fishable.
Started off catching a few stocker rainbows; I expected these. What I didn't expect was a beauty 19" brown that in my view is a wild fish. Big perfect fins and really nice scales and color. I suppose it could have been put in the river as a small guy and grew to size. Also caught a few small browns with parr marks on them, so I'd like to think the big one was wild anyway.
All in all a pretty good outing. I hooked up to a dozen. Some got LDR'ed and some came to the net. All fish were caught euro-nymphing.
This stream runs through a fairly suburban area, but a short walk upstream, and I felt like I was really away from it all. A nice little find.
