    Old School Mustad Hook

Alot of my tying stuff was a gift from a friend who didn't tie anymore, so I have some things that as far as I know are not sold anymore. I was going through some things and found these hooks. I've never used them and probally never will but just thought I would share.

    Quite the odd barbless design

I think you should tie a fly with one and try it out. I've definitely never seen a barbless hook like that before.

They look like they might do more harm them good.

Maybe I'll do a woolly bugger on one and try it on some bass or something. Bass are pretty tough they get ripped in the face with treble hooks all day and laugh when its over.

Guess I'll show my age a little because I remember these hooks. I never used them, but I remember seeing them. I, too have some old Mustad hooks lying about as well. Things DO go in and out of fashion or worth.

There is probably some collector that would pay handsomely for such an antique. I would list that on an auction site.

I was thinking the same thing alan, they look very collectable, the box is in fantastic shape.
