the last few times that i have fly fished i have seen trout rising. yesterday there were quite a few fish on top in one spot... including some really nice fish. if you are dying to dry fly fish and you see a splashy rise chances are thatfish can be caught on the surface. just tie on a hendrickson emerger and cast repeatedly where you saw the trout rise. many of these surface feeding trout this time of year are quite opportunistic and will come up to a properly presented fly. you can even get awaywith using 4x this time year. the trout arent so dry fly educated yet... just the way i like it!
