Temple Fork Rod 11ft 5wt for Sale

I have a Temple Fork Professional Series 11ft 5wt switch rod that I am looking to get rid of. It's only been used a few times. Great nymphing rod for trout and even steelhead on small tribs. It's actually 10.5ft 5 wt but if you put on the 6 inch extended handle, it becomes 11 ft long. Can be used as a spey or a single handed rod. I like it but I am looking to go with the Jim Teeny 10ft 5wt. A little faster.

The rod comes with rod tube and bag. Goes for $250. I am looking to get $150.

Your right Aaron but it feels heavy in my hand but that's just me. I am like the Teeny or the straight 10ft 5wt Professional Series rod a little better.

I have a Teeny series in 10' 5wt that I used twice. I'll trade it for the 11 footer. Let me know.

I have the TFO 11ft 5wt, the rod fishes better with a heavier reel than you would normally use on a 9ft 5wt. I have been using an old Lamson LP-3.5 and the rod/reel balances nicely without the tip heavy feel of an 11ft rod.

One aditional 11ft advantages is when nymphing, you can hold your rod arm closer to your body, most 9ft and 10ft rods require a long reach extension of the rod arm which is tiring.

The limitation on the rod is changing over to dry fly fishing in the evening
