It was really good in that spot. The fish were in really shallow lies.. like 6 inches of water at the head of the pool. I also took a few in the slower water. I can't believe the water types that fish go to when they get pounded. This rain will help thae fish move about and give them a little rest from getting hooked.

Thanks for the compliment on the site! Its great that you decided not to lurk! I look forward to your input here. Did you do well in your "honey hole" up there?

The honey hole was occupied by two guys with a cooler. They looked like they were going to be camping there for awhile. I moved up and across the river and fished the deep hole above them. Hooked and landed a few small browns, then left for home.

Yeah I know that feeling. It was fierce that morning. We quit early because of all the people as well.
