    Sage 10ft 4 weight xp?

Would this rod be feasible for the czech nymphing methods, or is the action too fast? I know many of the recommendations for rods to suit this purpose have a slower action so I was just curious

That is a nice rod. I used to own one. If you wanted something totally different, you might want to try an 11 foot rod. I know that a bunch of the guys on here purchased the new Greys xf 2. Bob aka Magnet was telling me today how much he liked it. When you get into the nymphing and are catching a lot of fish, buying tackle becomes automatic My uncle always used to call them "big boy toys." just like kids need them, we need them even more.

I like that Aaron - "Big Boy Toys". It sounds more socially acceptable than "Gear Junkie" which makes people think that you need to seek help.

Big boy toys are definitely important! Thanks for the recommendation on the new greys rod. I will take a look at it.

That XP 10ft 4 IS a great rod and they fetch some bucks as of now, l was offered 500 for mine a while ago.
Go for the Greys they are a better deal in the long run.

Aaron, I'm assuming you mean the xf2 streamflex models? I've been looking at some rods to use for both euro nymphing and wet fly fishing, and can only justify getting a single rod for both. I had thought about the streamflex 10 foot 5w or the TPO professional in the same size. Any thoughts on the 11 foot streamflex for both nymph and wet fly presentations?

    Thanks,
    John
