    Z-Axis 10' 5wt. Offically Z-Axised out!

A few weeks ago, under the high recemmendation of the Predator, I decided to go for it with a Z-Axis 10' 5wt. I got to fish last week, but this weekend was the real premiere outing with it. It was nothing short of AWESOME! The casting ability of this rod is like nothing I've ever tried. The smoothness, accuracy, and lightweight qualities are incredible. My accuracy has increased by exponential proportions, with no exaggeration. I nymphed with it, casting shot and indicator with ease. Nothing hinders its casting ability. I also fished the night shift, with big streamers, and still, the casting and sensitivity was remarkable. It is definitely the nicest rod I've ever used, and I'm really excited to own one now. Everything, be it casting, mending, high-sticking, roll-casting, is all easier with such a fine rod. Thanks again Aaron, as always, directing me in the right direction! Thanks also to Nymphmeister and HRO ;D

Those sound like two awesome setups! I'm getting there. . .day by day. The Predator has re-cambered my entire outfit, from the head down, and it's awesome! There is really no substitute when fishing with great equipment. After experiencing the best stuff, it's hard to go back to anything else. For me, the better equipment always yields better fishing results, especially with a rod. Since the Z-Axis, my casting and control has increased an enormous amount.

Hopefully I'll have a lamson LS soon too.

When will you be fishing the Housy again? maybe we can hook up and do some fishing. I only live about 25 min from HRO can meet up with you just about any time.

FLYDAD, I never know quite when the next time will be, only because of the fact that getting out of the city is often a huge pain, and my schedule often gets conflicted with last minute engagements. That being said, I love fishing the Housy, and will hopefully try to come out at least another couple of times this fall. I'll drop you a pm next time I know I'll be in town, thanks for the note.

    Yeah guys,
I just purchased the Z-Axis 10ft 5wt myself and can't wait to bust it out on those browns! I checked it out in the shop and it of course is an awesome rod. Torrey talked to me about it a few times and I was finally convinced. Not that it takes much when it comes to buying another rod. Anyway, I was using a 10ft Winston that was good but not strong and quick enough. I fish with all fast action rods. I have a Sage VT2 9.5 ft 5 wt which is a medium fast action. That was my go to nymph rod for a while. I bought that instead of the Z-Axis at the time because I just purchased a few BIIXs for the salt and some new lines and reels. Should have bought the Z-Axis earlier but can't wait to break it out. That rod, Rio nymph line, and a Ross Evolution. Can't get any better of a nymph set up! ;D

I really liked that Sage 9'5" five weight. That was the rod I got the huge West Branch fish on. I should have the thing bronzed

Torrey might be the Sage 10ft 5wt z-axis salesperson of the year
