I have no idea, but if you go on the PA Boat and Fish Commission website and type in the county I think that it lists all of the public sections of streams.
Howdy all. I was looking over the East Branch of Mahoning creek this morning. I was told there was a fly fishing only section of water just outside Big Run near the treatment plant. Unfortunately,I found things posted. There were even "No Fishing" signs. I'm not sure what to think about it all. Can anyone here help me with access to the East Branch? Maybe I was in the wrong place. Thanks a bunch,R.J.

Check this site out, this is the one Aaron was referring to. I think there should be a guide as to what stretches are fishable this time of year.

Thanks guys. Good link too. I'm trying to line up some decent water close to home. Could be expensive this season traveling. I'm looking forward to a couple trips up north with my brother-in-law,but there won't be too many.
Where is home for you? This will be my first fishing season living in PA, and we have good friends in Danville, so Fishing Creek was definitely on the list for me. Let me know if you ever want to try and meet up.

Both fishing creeks are good. Big Fishing creek out in Center county near Lamar as well as Fishing Creek North of Bloomsburg up around Benton area. Some of Best fishing though out in central PA for trout. Susquehanna river is great for bass, walleye and night fishing for channel if you enjoy that. I did when I lived in that area. Great hunting too.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

I'm just north of Punxsutawney. A co-worker sugested Fishing Creek as a potential road trip. He said it is quite good. Who knows,we may have to hook up and flog the water a bit.
