So... What kind of fly fishing is there within a few hours of Vegas? Looks like I may be down that way in September.

Is there actually fly fishing in the Vegas area? I have no idea but I do have a very good friend who lives there and the temperature reports he gives are ungodly. 105 degrees in early June. . . How could a trout survive unless there is a tailwater in the vicinity. Good luck.

i know that lake mead is in the area. lake mead has an awesome striper fishery. they catch lots of fish and some really big ones there. i remember watching a show where they were striper fishing there and they were getting them one after another. i also know that there are some private pay to play places to trout fish around there. i will look into how far the colorado river at lees ferry is. from what i have heard it is an awesome tailwater fishery with, believe it or not 50,000 trout per mile.
