Super hopper dropper??

im new to freshwater fly fishing, i started in feb and in where i live in CT you arent aloud to use two hooks until opening day (which just past), so this past weekend was the first time i used a dry fly instead of a strike indicator. anyways, i was wondering if this videos way would be a better technique to use than tying the line attached to the nymph onto the dry fly hook using a clinch knot? i just found it very difficult tying the clinch knot onto the hook.

Craig,

On the rivers where they stock the brood stock Atlantic Salmon you can only use one hook with no weight added to the leader. This is done to prevent snagging of fish and to promote ethical fishing. They do check for split shot, I can tell you first hand.

After opening day the rules revert back to the statewide regulations. I think it goes until October 1st. Then it goes back to the one hook and no added weight.
