Pohatcong Creek

I haven't tried the Pohat yet this year so I am going to hit it tommorrow. This little creek gets a lot of pressure during the stocking season but I know some spots that few dare to venture into. I'll post a report when I get home.

How'd the Pohat treat ya?

If it weren't for the two nubs I caught, the Pohat would have been a total bust. I hit an access point on the border of Broadwa and Greenwich Townships. This spot has a few nice runs that have produced fish for me in the past but like I said previously it gets alot of pressure. I was alone when I first got there but after about an hour many bait fisherman started showing up. One guy was using a spinning rod so big that I would have thought it too big for the Atlantic City fishing pier! I kind of got fed up with it all and left after about 2 hours. Yeah you got to love the tuna fisherman that show up. The Pohat runs right behind my house so I can still find a bit of solitary water every once in a blue moon.

Absolutely. Two things are constant the sun will rise and there will be 1,400 fisherman on Ravine Tuesday afternoon! Such is life I suppose. I just wish they'd leave the harpon and gill nets home!
