A late report (was waiting for Flash to email me the picture). Flash and I fished the Farmington Saturday. Cold in the morning, with ice on the rods till a bit after noon. Had about 6 hook-ups in one spot, but only managed to land two. The ones I landed, or got close enough to see which fly they hit all took an egg. Things then slowed down and we moved. Managed two more, including one about 17", that took a fox squirrel nymph. With the water temp at 39 when I measured it (around 11) 8 or ten hook-ups and landing four, with the smallest about 14" put a smile on my face. All four were fat browns. Flash landed three, all nice and fat, including a 17" and a 16".

Yesterday (Tuesday) I fished a little in the Hammonasset River, and landed eight. I know that most if not all were probably fairly recent stockies, but they were all in great shape, including two 15" brookies that had great color.

Can't wait for the Housy to come down just a little more.
