Hey guys i went to a spot over the weekend at the clinic with Aaron and these trout where murdering pheasant tails when i came back later . So im going to try one on thursday with my newly tied leaders from ed and i got a new net and strike indicators and i know exactly how to approach the river i know its hard but with the right casts and presentation do u think i might get a fish. I know its hard because u cant really say yes 100 % but does it sound like a good approach?
Sammy, there is a reason why the pheasant tail is one of the most popular flies, it works because it looks like a lot of mayflies. If you get out there and practice what you learned from Aaron, you will catch trout, sooner probably rather than later! The key is to get out there and do it as much as you can. Also, approach it in an inquisitive thoughtful manner, and read as much as you can and talk to other fishermen as much as you can.
I'll be rooting for you Sammy, let us know how you do!

I spent most of my money on fishing equipment, beer and whiskey, the rest I just wasted.
