It was nice meeting the both of you outside Housatonic River Outfitters yesterday.....Did you have any luck ? I spent about 4 hours nymphing the banks of the state park - not a hit. But I also felt in hindsight I should have been on the other side ...by the railroad tracks. I didn't think it would be a productive day...but i had to get out. Davy seems like an interesting down to earth character. He gave me his business card so if I ever get the opportunity to hit the White River system - he'd be the man to call. I'll just request the blonde on the card be my guide!

Davy and I hit the Farmington yesterday. The class was at the Naugatuck. We did very well fishing competition methods. It was not about the catching that day... Although that happened as well. I learned so much that its going to take a week to synthesize it all. I actually have gotten headaches thinking about it! You hit it on the head. He is down to Earth and one of the friendliest fly fishermen I have met to date.pictures will follow.

Here are a few of the fish we caught that day. Davy said the fish were larger on average than in Montana! What a compliment to the fishery.
