All my local fly shop has is imitation snow shoe feet, is this suitable or am I better off with the real deal.

The funny thing is I've never fished their either, and I've taken over a hundred trips to grandma's in Hartford in my youth. Too bad I didn't pick up fly fishing about 20years ago.
