Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
The aquastealth does not give you a good grip like felt. I have a pair of boots with aquastealths but they have spikes on them. I like them because the snow does not stick to the bubber bottoms.

last I checked, the "B" key is quite the distance away from the "R" key. I think A-man has some serious issues to work on that are probably best kept to himself. ;D Maybe it's a lingering Arkansas thing... (no offense to our Arkansan brethren).
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
I often wonder how aaron makes some of the typos he does... my best bet is that he lacks complete control of his fingers... this would explain how he is able to move them so quickly when tying knots. He doesn't actually have to think about tying the knots because the fingers are in control of themselves.

Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
I blame the typos on the new blackberry. I am not perfect with it yet.
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
Orvis has a new shoe with studded aquastealth that is pretty reasonable. Korkers will have a new studded aquastealth convertible sole coming out soon that s even nicer. The industry word is that studded aqua is the way to go for the future and that it holds real well. The convertible design is nice because you can take the stud sole out to fish from a boat.
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
The newest Fly Rod and Reel magazine has a thorough wading shoe comparison.
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
I like my korkers. Changing soles is kinda a pain, but getting easier the more i do it. My feet don't get sore any more though!!
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
Rego, you have to see the new korkers! They are as light and flexible as the chotas but have the interchangeable sole. And they have a new ratchet lace system that is innovative and easy to use. I was amazed by them at the show. You must see them.
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
I have them... They take a little while to loosen the rubber up to make switch easier. I had an older model and switching soles was much easier, but the soles also fell out often without hourly checks. This is much better, but when it cold out that rubber is tough to manipulate, especially if its 30 degrees and you just discovered you have a hole in your waders because they filled up with water and now your hands are blue and you're shivering and you have a 1 3/4 mile walk back to the car. They are super light and comfortable boots though. I used to have the outfitter boot. When I told them that I lost a sole wading and ate it big time leading to some bad bumps and bruises they replaced the outfitters witha new pair of the streamborns, which are killer.
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
Rego- I agree, and sometimes he's not in control of his mouth or brain either! Lol.
Re: aqua stealth wading shoe
HAHAHAHAHAHA. Poor Aaron. We're always picking on him.
