My sorry eyes have difficulty is viewing the website.
Everything is a dark brown.
Is there anything I can do to change it to a lighter view?

I find it difficult to read. Either make the color scheme legible for all or an option in the profile.

Try tilting the screen on your laptop a bit - you may find a different angle will lend greater definition.

I'm a bit blind too, so I enlarge the font by holding down "control" and clicking "+" until it's large enough to read.
(click "-" and it will get smaller).

try changing the overall brightness of your screen to that will help im sure you will see a big difference exspecially if you watch videos and stuff to because if you have it on default it will only be at like half to 75 % of how bright it can be

It reads just fine for me.

It's the whole kind of feel of our site and our community. I would hate to switch to something white and blue with forest green accents like the rest of the snooze fest that is the fly fishing industry.

I have a major change coming up but in the next few weeks, but it isn't going to be a white background! 8)

I think you should implement a scroll button on the way bottom left of the forum where you can change color styles and have it personalized. They aren't too much work to build and will really give this site a more personalized feel.

Having said that, I personally love the black and grey.

I think ultimately, you should look at moving this entire forum into a Vbulletin format, as currently it is way to buggy. With chrome I get a million redirect errors, you need to log in way too often, posting is sketchy.

In the past I've set up and run 3 non fishing related forum websites with the vbulletin format, and i haven't experienced nearly the amount of trouble, with much larger memberships and posting rates. Just something to consider down the line.

I am not a computer expert but I have been getting a lot of errors too when I try to go to different posts. If ususlly take 2 or 3 times before it connects. Posting and log in a very slow too.

When Justin first started this site so Aaron could reach and teach, it was a white background. The black and grey came after the first year as I remember. It eminates a feel of "not the same old fly fishing format." TPO has never been a typical fishing web site. It stated with two young guys with a different kind of attitude sucking down rockstar and ripping down rt 80 to Pa. I say," Dudes, keep the edge."

I think it looks great just the way it is. If we can get some of the posting bugs out it would be perfect.

Those bugs have only been lately. Im sure Justin will get to the bottom of it when he has time to tear it down and go through it..

I agree...keep the edge...i like coming thru a pool full of dry fly purists, ripping a streamer and murdering it!!!

I'm working on it. This weekend I will give it some real work. Hope to have it back up monday.

Ive never had a problem viewing the site. I think the color layout is great, its different! Keep it edgy. I would love to see some more fly of the month videos though. I know Aaron is a busy man with everything thats going on in the TPO world. Keep up the great work guys!!
