New rod broken in nice and easy
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
That is one pretty brown. Nice fish
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Great job Bob, how did you like the rod?
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
I heard you were smacking them up over there ;)
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Nice job Bob, Are you liking the extra foot?
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
You gotta love the Farmington... Are you ready for the wild browns @ BFC??
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
E, you and Frank need to leave the beautiful Catskills for a day and come down here.
Frank its awesome on a good size river. The 10 footer is still my baby.
AJ, You make me laugh. :) There are alot of us "one river wonders" up here at the Farmington who think we got it down. Truth be known, take a lot of us out of our comfort zone "the Farmington" and it is a different story. :)
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
I'll go with ya AJ! Bob, I haven't been to the Farm in a while. LMK when you want to hook up. I'll even try to drag E guy with me. But then you have to come with me to the Westchester wild trout waters !! ;)
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Great fish, rod looks really promising, I have one question on the warranty though, is the customer service any good? and how long does it take to get back a fixed rod?
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Bring E if he wants to leave his Catskills for a day.
The Hardy warranty is good. The distribution center is in Pa. Response time is quick.
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
I wouldn't tell someone to get a rod with a crappy warranty. If you were to break it, you could possibly have a new rod working a week if you did one day shipping there and back.
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
I had my GS2 back in less than 5 days. No cash up front just the cost of shipping it to them. Can't beat it.......
I'll hit the Farm. Trust me, I have NO problem leaving the Cats. right where they are. I will say that I have a really bad itch to scratch concerning really big streamers and the fish that eat them. I know there is one in there bigger than Aarons big boy. 8)
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Oh o.k. and one more quick question, Greys is a foreign company right?
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Hardy/Greys is a UK based company with a North American division in Lancaster PA.
Re: New rod broken in nice and easy
Nice report Bob. I gotta get down to the Farmington one day soon !
Have you fished the Streamflex series in a shorter length ? I was pondering a smaller stream rod say 9' 3weight however no one seems to have the previous model in stock. I am certainly eyeing the 11 footer for larger water.
