Called just about every one I knew to fish today but all had engagements to attend to. I feel that you really should'nt be fishing in winter by yourself. But with the nice weather and the annual New Years Day Salmon River run being cancelled I ran over to the WB.
Pulled into the parking area and had the place to myself. I started thinking that might be a bad thing considering the nice weather. Hopefully the veterans did'nt know something I did'nt as this was my first winter trip on the WB....Looked at my watch and it was already 9am As I approached the river. I felt a little uneasy about the situation. LOTS of water, where to start................
I only got into 5 fish and broke 1 off on the hook set in 4hours, smallest just made 20in. Great day to end the year on.
Way to hammer em pal. What fly did you find was your most productive?

The Cripple and Caddis Larva. I did make the 20/20 club with that Trico Nymph Wwelz posted a while back.
I attacked it like we do at the Farm.

Awesome! Taylor and I fished Central PA today. We caught a lot, but nothing to compare to those beautiful fish! Well done buddy...

Nice job brotha man!! Now i really wish that i could have gone. Ice fishing was horrible today some pickeral and bass and a perch thats it tho. Definitly next time tho

Hey, stupid question, but what's the WB? Just a little clarification for a Montana boy. I've been wanting to make a trip to the NE and I've been compiling a list of places I'd like to fish. I guide a lot of guys from PA and NY every year and have been wanting to check out some of the water I hear about.

Wildfly, that would be the West Branch of the Delaware he's referring to. B, you weren't kidding about that brown being millimeters from getting off. That latex caddis seems to only get big fish year round. Doober, were you ice fishing at the usual spot? How much snow was on top the ice?

Ha ha I thought so, I was like that looks a lot like my rod, It's a great rod pretty much indestructible.
