Fished Friday night in Indian River Inlet, DE with a charter captain. Was my wife and myself on the boat. We fished for a while with light tackle and caught a bunch of just short of legal stripers. Then switched it up and threw the fly rod for an hour or so at the end of the night. Caught more stripers than I could keep track of. Was pretty much a fish caught every cast. What a blast! Will be back to fish again with this captain, and will definitely break out the fly rod sooner!
Who was the guide? Stripers on the fly rod are a lot of fun!

Aaron, we fished with Capt. Chuck Cook, First Light Charters. Here are some fish pics and a picture of the flies we were using. The fish were in the lower 20" range, we missed the big fish migration by a few days. They hadn't made their way to DE yet when we went out.
So you were imitating rain bait and small peanut bunker? Could you catch them from shore at night? Mr RIO outbound short came in the mail yesterday!

Re: Delaware Stripers
Aaron, I'm sure that if they were busting bait along the area fishable from shore you could definitely catch them. We were fishing under dock lights at night and that area would only be accessable by boat.
