Re: Didymo in the ct river
good information!
Do you know a process for cleaning waders?
Re: Didymo in the ct river
I think you use a mild bleach and water solution and use a soft bristle brush . having your gear on put the solution in a wash tub stand in it so your boots soak it up and softly brush your waders with the mixture .any other information on this would be greatly appreciated
Re: Didymo in the ct river
I've found it. translated by the french.
How: the agency of the Biosafety(Biosecurity) in New Zealand published(edited) some simple rules for the cleaning of the material(equipment):
Cleaning: clean articles during at least 1 minute with one of the products which follow:
Some warm water in 60C
A solution of 2 % of javel (20 ml of javel for 1 liter of solution)
A solution of 5 % of salt (50 g/l)
A solution of 5 % of wash liquid (50 ml of liquid for 1 liter of solution)
A solution of 5 % of cleaner disinfecting for hands (50 ml of liquid for 1 liter of solution)
And (not it is not a gag(joke)!) a solution of 5 % of cleaner for coats(layers) (50 ml of liquid for 1 liter of solution)
All these products can be found in the supermarket of the corner(place). It's better to choose those who are biodegradable.
Drying: if the cleaning is not practical, to wipe(suffer) the article and then let dry 48 hours.
A good thing to do when I come in CT very soon...
