I get my Hends Body Quill from Fly Tying Boutique. Phil gets you the order very fast. It's very nice stuff. Get the entire range of colors. It also makes a great body material for micro nymphs as well. You won't be disappointed with the material!

wow thanks for the speedy reply where is this flytying boutique located?I will get some of this in caddis /mayfly nymph/larva colors for sure,besides im a flytying material hoarder,just ask John Coxey hes seen some stuff i got enough tying materials to start 2 shops no joke,just wish the dran overtime would cease so i could use it more often .Won't be long ill be exploring the Lil Juniata, as well as slammin on Spring and Fishing Creeks.

Mention the idea of a nymph class to your local fly shop.
Fly tying boutique is an online store owned by Phil Holding. He has always been wonderful to deal with. I have ordered from him a number of times and it has always come quick.

Kevin sells fly DK quill body. It's not the same material as the Hends that he is referring to.

No it's ok quill body... body quill almost the same ;) I like the quill body as well, but it's an entirely different material than the Hends stuff. Hends has no US distributor. It's a shame because they have some very nice stuff.

www.czechnymph.com also carries the Hend materials. I've dealt with them in the past and they charge a fair price and ship quickly.

i followed your advice and ordered it from Phil over yonder. Super nice guy. it sounds like he gets his hands on some pretty bizarre stuff thats tough to come by.
strange thing, these internetz....i found your site b/c i googled 'winter caddis patterns' and after a few clicks, i was watching your youtube video. Then, over the course of a week or two, i watched them all :o
there's a lot of great stuff going on here. I think i'll stick around.

got my order of Hend's BQ today from Phil ;D super stoked.
it's almost overwhelming with the amount of shit you can do with this stuff. i did some EHC's and ribbed the body with the reddish brown one for a touch of flash.
also aaron, your winter caddis is pretty badass. i tied a few, but haven't fished them yet.
have you come up with anything else with this stuff? oh, i also ordered a bag of that flat lead. pretty sick
