Housy 5/7/07 Monster Monday
Drifted the river today with one guy, experienced angler who has been fishing the Housy since the early 1970's.. Well we got his biggest ever Housy trout today............
River was sweet, fishing was very good. Small handful of duns, small patches of spinners here and there and a couple of caddis. 5:00 pm water temp 59 degrees. Plenty of good action on streamers and nymphs with one fish on the surface. Holdover Browns to 17 inches, stockies, 2 Brook Trout, Smallies and the Monster Monday fish:
25 inch Rainbow trout in the 8-10 pound class
Enough said, it was great!!!! ;D

Wow, that's great, I would love to see that fish! That's really heavy.
An easy way to compress a picture is with PowerPoint. Paste the picture in to a blank PowerPoint Slide, and resize it to fit the standard slide (8 by 10 inches). Select "save as" type JPEG and give the filename. The resultant file will be a highly-compressed JPEG of the original.

Jawzz, I PM'd you earlier. You can email it to me and I can do it for you. I can change the image size by pixels without compressing the colors much at all, and you'll still be above the 72 ppi resolution that works good for web photos.

Wow, that's an awesome fish Jawzz. I think I know where you got it, but PM me and lemme know. I think that's a different one than Eddie's client caught, what do you think?

Yes, it's a different fish. It didn't have the rough markings his fish had.

OK,
Now I know why Aaron asked for a bigger image.
This is much smaller that the image I sent to Jawzz.
I wonder if it happened because he attached the image.
Also,
Why an I not seeing the attached image in his post or anykind of link to an attachment. Is there something in my settings that is preventing me from observing this.
Finally, I will put the image I sent to Jawzz in my Photobucket acct and then place it in this thread. Then I can see if I made it too small in size - I guess you can clean up the thread later as you are a moderator. - Sorry

The image in the frame above mine looks to be about the size (in pixels) as my yahoo preview.
It's possible that Jawzz copied the preview image and didn't "download attachment" with the original image.
Jawzz, I dont mean to be talking about you, just tryin to figure out what happened to the pic, and why I cant see it in your post - thats really wierd because everyone else appears to see it.
Regarding the compression, I can make the picture a lot bigger in size, while retaining a small file size, but stopped at 600x550 pixels because some ppl still use low res monitors and cant fit the entire image on their screens within the message board frames.

That's cool, no problem.
I was wondering myself why my pic was like that and others pics like Aarons are bigger. I could have done something wrong, but just clicked on the browse button and put the picture in??????????????
It certainly looks much better now...........
