Alain and I are going to be tying at HRO this winter. We are going to be tying our flies for the spring. Partly because we are too lazy to tie them at home! So keep an eye out for the "classes" and make it a point to be there. We will get cracking on our flies for the winter?spring season! Torrey will be setting up the schedule later this month. Show up tie a few flies and share some fish stories.
Aaron is the real master, so you will want to watch him, not me!
I am only tying flies that he and Torrey showed me to use as anchors. All of my knowledge on this subject comes from them, and sometimes I forget to say thank you, or worse, let my ego get in the way.
Our classes will be scheduled soon, hope to see you there.

I was looking forward to the HRO tying class but we will be in Pulaski that weekend.
Magnet... There are far worse places that you could be. However, I would not put the Salmon River on that list! The fishing was epic that last two days. Dave the Rave and Slondeep were there to give them a beating! We even had a triple header on at one point to go along with a bunch of doubles. It will be good when you go.
I was looking forward to putting some finishing touches on my Vladi's finger anchor fly. :) Oh well, can't be in two places at once! I guess we'll have to deal. :D
Hopefully we will see of you guys at HRO this Saturday... just bumping this one back up.

We had a great time today and thanks to everyone that attended. We ended up tying anchor flies for Euro nymphing and some smaller stuff. The food at HRO was terrific too! It was a good turnout, and we may do another one early in 2009.
