Fished Bushy Point last night for the incoming tide with Ben. I usually fish the last 3hrs of the incoming and first 3 of the outgoing and do very well. But, I have also done well fishing the incoming and outgoing only so it was worth a shot. Well we did get into some fish. Ben hooked 7 and landed 5. He managed to hook into 2 big fish but lost them. One even snapped the point off his hook and mangled the dumbell eyes! I hooked 5 and landed 5. Only 1 good sized fish. 25 inches. All together, 12 fish for a few hours of fishing, not too shabby. Water is still cold. But, good sign to see the larger fish moving into that area. Beautiful night. No wind, nice sunset. Hope to hit the Sandy Point/Barn Island area this weekend pending tides.

Sounds like a good time. I cant wait to hit the salt I'm getting ready for my trip to Marthas Vineyard at the end of this month. Last year I had a realy good time catching stripers & shad. This year I am taking the family If my wife likes it out there it wiil become an annual event. Last year was my first time using a stripping basket & fishing at night. It was a little intimidating at first but once I got used to handling the line in the dark it wasnt to bad
