Fished the 'Musky today for some good results. I started by the bridge in the TCA and wound up hiking all the way up to the next bridge for some nice browies and a few really big pissed off 'bows. I fished an indicator and a sz 14 woven with a sz 18 Brass Ass. All of the fish took the Brass Ass.

Good to hear some of those bows are still there. Hooked a few of them two weeks ago.

Halliday, we need to coordinate a trip up there. I live 10 minutes from there, I fish it 2-3 days a week.

also- do you follow ian's advice with the brass ass by not fishing the finished fly so they don't pick up on the smell of the epoxy?

I bought the flies three years ago from orvis. They work great and I have not lost a single one!

that statement of mine appears quite odd. it should have read "by not fishing the finished flies for 2-3 weeks"...haha.
anywho, I have never fished that particular fly anywhere, and I'm pretty surprised it is so effective in my home turf. time to break out the 5 minute epoxy
