Awesome explaination guys, thanks!
Would the euro nymphing technique be effective do you think in a driftboat fishing situation? Sometimes I fish the delaware and if so, what happens when you get to deeper water that you want to explore, say, 6-12'? Do you still stick w/ your original rig or would you then switch to adding some shot, adding an indicator, etc. I know from my fishing experiences and probably several of you guys know what I'm sayin' , I wanna fish, not keep re-rigging all the time!! If you use the coil as your inddicator, can you still use it in the deeper run?
Thanks,
northcountryman
You can always float the coil and maybe just add some tippet.
I don't think that method is best utilized from a drift boat...I hate to re-rig as well...but the euro/czech stuff...my opinion is best for faster water that isn't very deep. for the slower runs or much deeper pools historically I have found better success running a standard indicator rig or dry dropper setup. Could you use a long line euro method from the drift boat? I guess...just not sure if that is the best return on your efffort...but only my opinion.
Adam,
Right on the money! EU nymphing is not a boat technique. Wading yes from a boat not so good...
OK, I thought so. Thanks for the input
