Intersting that you mention that fly. If you go into to a fly shop you will never see those as a trout pattern. People get pigeon holed many times and don't vary the materials as you do. Just because the recipe calls for bucktail does not mean that's the only thing that you can use.
Most streamer patters are made with very similar tying styles that you will find in a deceiver.
I have heard that Deceivers work very well on Delaware river trout.
I am not familiar with the PMS.............How about some info....pics?

Alanb.....Only one problem with tying while the infant sleeps......it's called a 2 year old son. He is one active little man. I can not wait until it is time to teach him to flyfish.
Leonard, the only reason I didn't post it was because I didn't want to reveal too much of your secret weapons! I'll try to change the poll right now to include it, is that possible? After seeing all the monsters you've caught on it, it definitely deserves a spot along the other allstars.

Yeah, I'm living in Sloatsburg, NY now and have never seen anyone else with them in their streamer box.
The deer hear head on that one was spun very nicely! That has to be my fly tying nemesis... spinning deer hair. I even watched Kelly due it so effortlessly! But i still suck.
