Winter Conclave

It sounds like Kurt is willing to do a presentation for us about novel wet fly techniques. Would you consider a winter dinner/banquet/expo to eat and hear his presentation? We could decide on a convenient central location. Someone will need to volunteer to arrange all this. I can help, too, but can't really commit to doing it on my own. You should charge admission, of course, say $30, and this would be a chance to meet and greet, show off your videos, sell a few hats, build support for the site and so on.

Justin: in the Fall, you might consider polling the site to gauge level of interest. I am guessing you could get 20-50 interested folks.

Just a thought, open for discussion. In a way, this seems to be a logical evolution for the site.

You know what Alain.. thats a really good idea. Like we talked about yesterday, I am happy with the way things are going now. Kurt would be great to have come down. I also know that he is dying to see if the wet flies will work here. So I can take him fishing one day and we can have the get together the next. You are right that is the next level for the site is to have presentations such as kurts about wet flies. I can also do the nymph seminar sometime. Thats the next step for the graduation of TPO lol. I will be seeing Justin tomorrow and we can work on getting this one going.

Btw... are you ready for the 17th? We will call it D day for the West Branch.

Regrettably, my back is still in bad shape. It seems like the muscles on my left side, lots of hot, sharp pain. I am going to the doctor's at 330 today. I might have to fish from a chair, but I am still looking forward to D-Day on the 17th!!!

What about meeting Kurt somewhere in PA in the winter for an instruction session/conclave? Like I dunno Fishing creek or something that's kinda equidistant for both parties and turnign it into like a weekend long thing. get motel rooms and shit. No one room with Aaron. You might not wake up in the morning after chinese buffet.
