This is 16 inch (40 cm) lenght of highly visible fluo yellow 8lb monofilament with seven fluo red, one black and seven fluo yellow resin drops spaced in the centre at half inch intervals.
It is very sensitive indicator for Czech nymphing, French nymphing and any light nymphing application.
Qty:
Connect the indicator between your flies and leader using the two microrings supplied with, or tie directly between leader and tippet using the surgeon knot.
At first glance you might wonder how you can possibly see the tiny drops and leader, especially when compared to the bulky foam indicators. But it stands very well in a wide range of conditions from bright sunshine to cloudy overcast skies. The anvantage of this exceptional indicator is that it is lightweight, easy to use, very streamline and will not spoke the fish.
Drop indicators had been invented by the Czech competition fly fishermen.
how does it behave when being pulled through the eyes landing fish? Or do i need a longer handled net? ;) Actually looks very cool. Where can I pick some up?
Can I assume that this does not float and would be better suited for more under the tip style fishing at closer ranges?
I wonder about that myself. I would be interested in this indicator if I could lay it flat floating on the water as well as fishing it out of the water. I was hoping someone else would know if it floats before I order one.
Sounds like a TPO product reveiw may be in order here,,,,,,,,
I've seen a bunch of different articles where people use multiple beads of strike putty to detect strikes, I would assume that this is right up that alley. Brandon, I think a trip to Michaels might be in order.
IDK it looks to me like it would be alot easier to get tangled up on all those indicators than the coil. Probably best used for the short line Czech method?
