Just wondering if anyone had used this line? I'm looking into buying the 10wt version of it. It seems like a great idea, and the reviews are back and forth about it but I'd rather hear about it from guys that i know actually fish. Thanks in advance!

Re: Rio Versitip
Well I ended up using the 10 up on the SR for steelies. I love the versitip! I'm also going to use it on stripers and its going to be my salmon rod(you've seen what can happen to a smaller rod if i use it on salmon) The only problem that i have found is when the guides ice up the junction where the tips are gets a little tough to gets a little hard to get through the tip top.

I was watching a siminar on streamer fishing the White River in Arkansas and these guys are throwing 8-10wt with 450gr. sinking heads with a Tungsten Bullet weight slid down on the fly!!. I hav'nt used that line Doober but my favorite has been the 350gr sink tip on an 8wt for around here.

Go with the Rio DC streamer tip, its pretty much the best line i have ever fished hands down.
