Unbelievable, just a sad story.

I read that a few days ago. Pathetic and disgusting are two adjectives that come to mind when I finished reading this. This guy was killed because a guy was killing deer at night. Did they catch the guy who did this yet?

Game Wardens have a very tough job . My heart goes out to the family of this man. I will say however that the state should rethink sending game wardens out by themselves to arrest jack-lighters . The people who poach deer at night are dangerous. They are armed and the penalties for that kind of poaching are justifiably stiff. I would leave the job of Jack lighters to the state police . We had a game warden killed in Ct a few years ago in my part of the state. He was after hunters who were hunting after hours but not at night. He was moving through the woods trying to sneak up on the hunters. One of the hunters thought he was a deer and shot him. The hunter that shot him was a corrections officer . He was charged and went to trial but found not guilty. As a result of this terrible incident Ct revised its policies for Conservation Officers apprehending poachers to protect the safety of the Conservation Officer .

Very dangerous endeavor going after deer jackers, bad enough bein' in the woods at all during rifle season!! I feel bad for his family.
