.5 mm Magic Stretch for Midge's
I registered on this site within the past two weeks or so. I read an article on here at TPO regarding an angler/tyer/forum member using .5mm Magic Stretch to tie midge larva pupa patterns. There was an accompanying photo of maybe a half-dozen flies he had tied in several colors.
Tried to locate thread and cannot. Help! Tried a search and no luck.

Re: .5 mm Magic Stretch for Midge's
Aaron,
Thank you for the attempt. It's not the thread. It was posted in this forum and I cannot recall the members name. He mentioned his find at the Michael's hobby store. His post may have contain the words Magic Stretch.
A photo of a spool of the material he found at Michaels was included in the post and he had a picture of a maybe a half-dozen midge larva he had tied using it as an overbody over the thread base.
The little larva pattern closely resembled the Barr's Red Midge Larva.
If that doesn't ring a bell or if the guy who posted it doesn't notice my attempt to locate his post, then I will spend some time clickin' through the archieves to see if I can locate it.
Thanks for your attempt to help.
Jeff

Hey Aaron,
Found it. It is on page 18 of the Fly Tying archieves. I thought it was Brookie who posted the response connected to the Magic Stretch. I kept thinkin' it's the guy with the cat on his head. Haha.
Speaking of cats. I always hear Tucker in the background in your videos.
My cat has a long name: Champion Sockarotamous Thottbot Tolltag Dot Com. Err..Sockies for short. Hehe.
Again, thank for your help!
