Guys,
Be careful with the use of online shops with regards to your credit cards. This week I was notified that some suspious purchases were being transacted on my account. The security firm my credit union uses recently contacted me and asked if I purchased airline tickets to Singapore! I said no but if they were to Bozeman MT they might be mine. I have recently used a few new sites and they may be the source of the security breach. If these sites don't have the proper security features engaged your card numbers are able to be lifted by someone even out of the country. They themselves may be on the up and up but if you are buying something and your Norton pops up and says the site is not secure and third parties may view your info then get out of there. Use the sites you and others have had good experience with. You don't want to be buying $800.00 tickets to Singapore.

Re: identy theft
I recently had the same thing happen to me after a few online fly fishing purchases. Someone was using my credit card number to buy big screen TV's in Idaho. My credit card company called me . I was not responsible for the purchases but I had to cancel the card and get a new one sent out . What a royal pain.

Re: identy theft
The thing is guys, that the e-store itself is not malicious. I talking with one vendor about this and he said he uses a yahoo based system which has a lot of protective safe guards. Make sure you have a good virus protection on your computer. Also if your system gives you a warning about the security of the site don't just continue. I can't pin point which site this incursion occurred.

My credit card company said exactly the same thing as magnet . The vendor is not the problem.
