Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
On sunday we decided to stop at three, some what local streams.. The action started early and are day never ended, On the first stream, which does hold its fair share of wild trout we managed to hook up quite a bit with both the natives and the stockers until the scene got ugly with the bait guys... So with rods back in the truck we drove off to the second location (Stocker Paradise) fishing was very good here, we even saw a few walleye lurking around the stream.. As the evening was ending and neither of us wanted to go home we made one last stop at are third and final stream this place didn't disappoint. Aaron slammed them here, and even though we were Euro ing we did notice a Monster Light Cahill Hatch. It was a wonderful day that was supposed to be just a short trip, but it lasted all day and it almost ended with a ticket: ) Oh yeah forgot to mention that Aaron caught all three speices of trout at all three streams, whcih I thought was pretty cool..

Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
Yeah that rainbow got whacked by either a muskie or a wlleye!
That was a grea time. It was nice and relaxing as we got to drive though some scenic parts of the state. We also fished at the base of a few dams, which you know is in true TPO style ;) The highlight was catching all three species of trout on all three streams. I know that most of them were stockers but it was so much fun! I haven't fished a few of those streams since I was a kid!
Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
Looks like a great time guys. WTG!
Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
Nice net job Aaron. That rainbow doesn't know how lucky it was. Could it have been a bird??
Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
No it was a combination of 234 walleyed and 6 muskies that did that to that rainbow ;) I am sure that there were many others that did not escape!
Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
And these locations would be? ;)
Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
EUFF,
You know where we were :)

Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
Now I recognize them. ;D
but I don't think ive been to the one with the big dam, and my memory of the one with the small dam is a little fuzzy. ???
Re: Three Jersey Stream's.... One Afternoon
Nice report.
Location B is my if I need to see a fish trout (3 out of the 4 seasons), sunfish, walleye, bass, yellow perch its usually something always there after a solid rain. Crowds thin out around now because the jerkoffs think its cleaned out. I've seen bait guys there elbow to elbow and 3 fish comeback, between 10 people lol. It's good to see we fish the same waters, it lets me know im in the right place. Poaching is said to be a problem downstream, I don't know how true that is though.
I need to check that place out with my fly rod for the first time when I return from my weekend vacation. I haven't been out since the day I caught my first trout on the fly. :'(
