Not a virgin anymore,,,but a long way to go
So Headed out today with the soul intent on giving polish nymphing a serrious go. I bought some flouro tied up a leader an grabbed my freshly tied Vladi worms and a few woven nymphs and off I went. Its alot harder to go with the speed of the current then I expected but on my 3rd cast wham!! i got a soild strike so I struck back instantly but he was allready gone, and that was the story on the day got many strikes but missed all but one. These fish are fish fairly hard so im wondering if they were pecking and not really taking my nymph , cause I felt the strike and hit back instantly and they were one allready. I cant ait to get back out there asap and give it another go. Oh yeah and Aaron i snt you a text last nite but i didnt want to call after work cause i didnt know if you were sleeping but The spot has been stocked,,not sure by who or when but I saw tons of smaller fish today

Jay,
It only gets better! Longer leaders and built in strike detection are next. But keep working the short leader for now...

I have to start tying some the Czech style nymphs too. Do you know of a place in the U.S to order Jan Sieman product or do you have to order direct from them? Need flat lead, magic shrimp foil maybe some of the bilobal shrimp sheets too. oh yeah question. Do you tie your Czech nymphs to the stream life size or do you really fish them in size 10's and such?
