All in all, not a bad day on the Housy. They didn't update the flow report, but it was probably in the 800cfs range, clarity was 3+ feet, maybe closer to 4. Nice to finally be able to go out and not have to chip ice off the guides every 5-10 casts. Only a little shelf ice here and there, it should all be gone by the weekend. Ok, the fishing- I went out with Jim Plante, and we ended up with 3 fish landed, one Bow, 2 Browns. All in the 16-17" range, Jim caught the two Browns. And surprisingly enough, all the ones we landed were on streamers- I was using a brown leech, he was using an olive rabibit strip/sculpin-type tie. Jim got in an area about 20x40 feet, and must have gotten 5-6 strikes out of that one section in a short period of time. Wonder how many were actually there. The day was super nice, with some sun and not much wind at all. It was truly nice just to be out. Jim knocked off a little before I did, I hit a couple more spots after he left and managed to hook a really pretty colored-up Brown that twisted off before I could land him. Water temp peaked today at about 34 degrees. Saw 4 other anglers, including Eddie Jr., he had bagged a 12" Brown and lost/missed a few others when I talked to him at lunchtime.
