Re: Fly Ideas and Concepts
Take a photo and post it up. I would like to see it. I am not fond of CDC collars but people who like them swear by them. Wwelz really likes them. I just think that the CDC slows the sink rates down and that there are other materials that can get the same desired effect like squirrel dubbing. The only thing that you might lose are the air bubbles due to the oil in the CDC.

Re: Fly Ideas and Concepts
Do you have a photobucket or a picasa account? You upload the picture to the site and there is an IMG code to cut and paste. You paste this code into the post and you picture shows up.
Re: Fly Ideas and Concepts
Magnet gave me instructions on how to set it up.
I'll have the picture up in the next couple of days.

Re: Fly Ideas and Concepts
My comment is that the fly is an emerger and as such, it is best fished during a hatch at or near the film. I don't see CDC as a problem as long as one realizes that the film is where this fly will be most effective.

Also, this is a stone/iso fly i tied that i've yet to try out, and i have another stone that i modified from the post by troutastic that i'll post soon.
Re: Fly Ideas and Concepts
The stonefly looks really good. I might shorten up the hackle. On the midge have you thought about Krystal flash for the wing? Rich Strolis uses three strands for the wings on his midge pupa patterns. I think it's a great little trigger.
