fished a lake run salmon river in maine for a day and half this week. we worked our ass off, covered miles of water and casted thousands of time for 3 fish each. the fish are spread somewhat thin over at least 20 river miles maybe more. these fish also strike and refuse for no apparent reason making it even more difficult. it is a blast when you finaly hook up. these fish dog down deep then instant head high cartwheels. they are also the hardest fish ive ever tried to hold for a camera shot. the first two got away with only fumble pics and the third almost got away. all of these fish were wild indigenous males except for fat stocker female http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/PA100172.jpg http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/PA100173.jpg http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...PA090168-1.jpg http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...a/PA100178.jpg
WOW! Those fish are awsome. They are shaped like bullets.

Wow! Those are spectacular landlocked salmon! Thank you for posting. I have fished there on four occasions in late spring, but never during the fall. That one dark male looks a lot like an Atlantic Salmon. I have got to get back up there.

Very Nice! Man, how I miss fishing LL salmon. Many moons ago I lived in Portland ME and fished for LL salmon 3-4 days each week in the fall. LL are not easy to catch, but are awesome fish on a fly rod.
