Got Out For a Few Hours...

I was lucky enough to get out for a few hours after work yesterday. I fished a section of heavy pocket water on a Catskill stream. The fishing was nuts! I euro-nymphed with 2 small nymphs. The fish were extremely active. I even caught doubles! I was lucky enough to get those doubles to the net! When I first hooked them I thought that it was a 20 incher! I guess that it sort of was, being that the fish would have measured 23-24 inches from the head of fish one to the tail of fish two ;D

Aaron: during the comp, please catch 'em one at a time, lest you harass the controller. Oh, and no big fish either.

Alright, we are going to have to institute some sort of handicap on this site - this is getting out of hand! I'm happy catching a few fish in a day - now Aaron is catching them a few at a time. He can't be stopped!

Doubles are great!!! I had My First in the Catskills This year, They near Hog Tied me, I was very confused of what was happening...I wonder if you can double a carp?

Aaron I was wondering do they allow a two hook rig in NY? I thought I read some where you could only use one hook/fly. Maybe that's just in catch and release areas. I hope I'm wrong I would like to use a multi rig. - bohemian

That's a law on the Lake Ontario tributaries. On inland streams you may use more than one fly.

I did what I should of done before I asked the question. I dug out my official regulation guide and read it cover to cover well almost. I found the same answer. All this time I thought it was for all waters. Now I am the the idiot. Thanks for the help. By the way awesome site. Love the fly tying videos A+ - bohemian
