I thought you all might like to see some pictures of some of the Housy trout caught on Sunday. I ended the day by hooking four big fish in a row, and, unbelievably, for me anyway, landing all four of them. My buddy Flash was kind enough to take pictures of the last three. Again, my luck does not usually run that way, typically, when I catch a nice fish Flash is across the river or a couple hundred feet up or down stream from me, and I usually don't carry a camera.

Unfortunately, the brown popped right out of my hands as soon as I took it out of the net for a picture. A comparison to the size of my net put its size at about 21 inches.

Solid fish, looks like they stocked some nice Bows this year!
You know things are good when your trying not to catch the rainbows!

those rainbows are pests. Did the state stock a bunch of dinks this fall?

Steve,
Thanks for the report; I was just able to see the pictures fullsize. You guys are really slaying 'em. Even in the net I can tell that brown is a serious fish-good for you!
jovalle: Yes, CT stocked thousands of "fingerling" rainbows on Sept. 11. They are between 8-11in I would guess. There were already a lot of big rainbows like Steve's in the river from the spring CT stocking and HRO's past couple seasons of stocking.

Those smaller rainbows are going to do really well. They are in great shape and most should be able to winter over. They should all be around a foot in the spring. We should have a ton of fish rising for the Hendricksons next spring!

For Sure! - those rainbows seem all over the TMA in the last week or two...all the ones I have seen seem strong. Lets hope for a good Spring!
These 2 fine fisherman below also managed to hook one of the recent stockers in the Meadows. Played it for about 10 mins, admired it, sent buddy 2 walking back to the grey pickup up the hill for the camera, then took a few hundred shots before dropping the fish back in....30+ min ordeal.
