Watermark/William Joseph Midge Pack
I bought this pack today at a closeout price of $30. I wanted something other than my vest to use while fishing the local creeks. It won't carry a lot of stuff but I really don't need 20 fly boxes to fish the Lopat and Bushkill. I'll post a review as soon as I get it.
Re: Watermark/William Joseph Midge Pack
I know a lot of us on the board here use various forms of William Joseph packs...I think you will be very happy with the purchase.
Re: Watermark/William Joseph Midge Pack
I switched to a small chest pack full time a few months ago and it was the best decision I made...I realized I didn't need the million flies I carry...half the time I'm fishing a gray dry or a PT nymph anyways...It helps me be efficient on the stream when I don't have tons of stuff to delve through and lots of "what if this happens" kinda excess...Enjoy the pack William Joseph is a great company.

Sure can't go wrong with spending $30.00. I've had a chest pack for a few years and I really like it. I did however buy a fishpond vest with a backpack. I like that also, it's better if your out all day, can fit more stuff in it.

I have the Watermark Caddis pack and I can't find anything that I like better. You can pack a decent amount of stuff in the back if you need and it also carries a 100 oz Camelback. I also like that the pouches are off to the side so I can still get into my chest pouch on my waders. I'd say the Watermark doesn't have the same quality as Fishpond but it doesn't have the price either. The only problem I've had with mine is that the zippers jam sometimes.
Re: Watermark/William Joseph Midge Pack
I finally got to try out the pack today. It was a pleasure to use. It wore light and very comfortable. I was able to get all the essentials into it (2 flyboxes, carmera, wallet, couple of spools, a snack and a drink. The only drawback is that there were no zingers on it so i am either going to have to make a lanyard or buy some of those pin on jobs. All in all it was definitely worth the 30 bucks I paid for it.
