Testing my ties on Lopatcong Creek
I went to the creek armed with some flies I had tied over the past few days. I caught 5 wild browns, all over 12" with the largest measuring 16-17". I caught them all on an anchor fly I put together for fun, I really didn't think it would work. I must be doing something right because it held together after being eaten 5 times. I got all the fish early, between 6 AM and 9 AM. After the sun started coming up things kind of died. Here's a pic of the fly, no fish pics, forgot to take my camera to the creek.

Hook-Size 10 Eagle Claw
Body-Muskrat
Rib- Fine gold wire
Thorax-Metallic Gold Sewing Thread
The fish really seemed to like this in the low morning light, I guess the gold collar must have set them off. I am going to try it in the late evening to see what happens.
