This past saturday was the 2nd installment of the Nanty Series and was definately a good time. I faired much better this month, however the fishing was definately slower and it showed by everyones numbers.
My morning started off slow during low water and put me on my hands and knees chasing risers. Had a few refusals on a sparsely tied yellow sally so i dropped a lightly weighted stone below and picked up two barely scoreable fish. After about 30 minutes the generation hit me and the water rose quickly and turned to chocolate. After about 3 casts i picked up a nice 16" 'bow and proceeded to pop off the next 5 fish.
Morning session= 3 fish with 16" kicker ;D
Not much to say about the afternoon other than I was on beat 1 and nobody caught more than 1 fish out of beat one...everyone totalled 1 fish there.
afternoon session= 1 fish...and some tears ???
but as i stated no one really slayed fish this month and my 4 fish put me in the middle of the pack out of 14 anglers. That big bow made my day though! Nothin like pullin a piggy out of some class 2 rapids!
Fished 3 hours on sunday and pulled out 22 fish including to good 16-17 inch browns outta the same run. A day late ;)
